The 5 Stages of Learning

Dear students, this time we are going to think and reflect on the stages of Learning.

First, watch this funny video and try to identify what an average student or teacher would say in each of the 5 stages of learning.

After watching the video, take a look at this interactive presentation, it's quite illustrative of the learning process, now seriously ;-)

The ideas and images for this post comes from David Mearns wonderful blog. His post is worth reading!

What Teachers Make

Dear students, this is a video-listening activity I have just cooked up for you.

Allow me to introduce you to Taylor Mali first. He is a "slam poet". You don't know what slam means? Click on this link and find out what slam poetry is about.

Taylor Mali is one of the most well-known poets to have emerged from the poetry slam movement and one of the few people in the world to have no job other than that of poet.

Listen to his slam poem and do the activity below.

Do you think he has ever worked as a teacher? What's your guess?  Why?
Check here if you were right.
